Students attended Sunday School classes at the Kergunyah Presbyterian Church. Sunday school was held in a little 16 foot square wooden building which came from Rocky Valley after it was no longer needed there. Ewen Wallace's father initiated and organised the move. C2011 the building was knocked down because of white ants. MAJ Ray Redman appears in his mess dress by the Roman fountain, serving a silver service morning tea to CPL Pat Drury, as a result of a losing bet on the 1991 Rugby League Grand Final. Pat Drury was a very keen rugby league supporter and followed Penrith, who lost its first Grand Final appearance to the Canberra Raiders in 1990. Penrith reversed the result the following year against Canberra winning their first premiership. He enlisted in the AIF with the rank of Major as 2IC in the 38th Bn on 1.5.1916 at the age of 41 years. Embarked for England 20.6.1916, embark for France 22.11.1916, promoted to Lt Col to command the 39th Bn 15.2.1917, hospital 17.9.1917 with Defective vision, appears to a have rejoined his unit same day, WIA 29.3.1918 GSW to left thumb, rejoin unit 13.6.1918, KIA 29.9.1918 near Bony on the Hindenburg Line. Buried by the Rev W.A.Moore on 1.10.1918. He was awarded the DSO 18.1.1918 and Mentioned in Despatches 25.5.1918. The re-drafting of the constitution set out by the British Mission to Seamen coincides with the centenary of establishment of the 1856 Mission in London. This pamphlet appears to have been received by someone who was offered a Life membership in 1957.6 pages of text pamphlet outlining a brief history and outcome of a Special meeting of members at Buckingham Palace gardens 16th May 1956, that is a redesigned Constitution of the Mission to Seamen. This lamp was the light source for the projector which was operated at Dunkeld and the wider district during the 1920's and 30's. The company which operated it was called Royal Pictures and showede their films in district halls. Owned by Claude Taylor and Reuben Schache. The projector was hand operated. Films were also shown outside on a large screen outside the Royal Mail Hotel.Metal carbon arc lamp. 6 Adjustor screws to adjust the rods to strike and hold the carbon arc. These rods allow adjustment and totation of the carbon rods which hold the arc. Brass feferrules are used for fine adjustments. Hand wheels are insulated to protect the operator.
