The Merbein RVIB Auxiliary was formed on September 23, 1931. This small collection contains index cards which were maintained by RVIB and contain the amount of donations made by the Auxiliary between 1976 - 1995 as well as the presentations delivered by RVIB employees to Auxiliary meetings between 1973 - 1985. Correspondence to and from RVIB head office ranging between 1990 -2004. There is also reference to a poem by Tilly Aston sent to Mr Jenner's President from 1993-2004 mother and a copy apparently sent to the RVIB history archives at the time. At the front of the minutes is an index of names for some of the people referred to in the minutes of the Finance/Executive Commitees, with relevant page numbers. Held at the office of the Association for the Advancement of the Blind, these minutes contain information on bank balances, correspondence received and replied to, receipts expenditure, accounts and other business discussed. This included the introduction of monthly socials at Kooyong (p.29), ordering copies of a photograph of Tilly Aston for display in the offices, Braille library, Home, Hostel and paying for a small copy requested by the sitter, as a gift from the Association (p.196).1 paper registerassociation for the advancement of the blind

In 2005, archivist Anna Fairclough gave a historical presentation about the subsidiaries of the newly formed Vision Australia. She covers from the beginnings of the RVIB, RBS, AAFB and Victorian Braille Writers Association, the establishment of schooling, residential homes, employment skills and the changing ways of fundraising.
