Moorabbin played initially in the Federal Football League also known as Football Federation Australia, making their debut in 1909 and competing until 1950. The club wore a black and white jumper like Collingwood. During this time the club won 12 premierships, including winning all six premierships staged over the nine years between 1940 and 1948 (the competition was in recess from 1942 until 1944). Moorabbin Football Club was also known as Moorabbin Park Football Club in the early years of its formation. In 1926 – Moorabbin 13 goals 11 points (89) defeated Mordialloc 9 goals 17 points (71). A photo of a family of Junior Legatees in 1961. Legacy provided outings, camps and holidays for children all over Victoria. Country children would stay for two weeks in the city (often at the Legacy residences) and city children were billeted with families around Victoria. The names that accompanied this photo were: The Picone family from North Albury 1961. L-R Cheryl 14, Jenny 11, Antony 10, Leslie and Maria 9 and Alan 7. Charles Robert Rooney was born 1894 and worked as a gardener at the Ballarat Botanical Gardens until joining the Army in July 1915, aged 21 years. Charles was recorded as "Killed in Action" on 26th November 1917. Charles was the son of Tom Rooney, curator at the gardens until 1914. Little is known of Charles Rooney's contribution to the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, as he was only twenty-one when he enlisted and went to War and was reported "killed in action". All visible. 2 copies. Copy 1, 1 page and a quarter. Copy 2 half of page 1.p. 3. Enlistment form filled in longhand in black ink, with blue ink numbers superimposed and crossings out in red. p.4. This socket set was used by a member of the Wodonga community, Mr. Stanley William Flower. Mr. Flower was the father of a life member of the Wodonga Historical Society. The Indestro Company produced these sets from the mid 1920s until the 1960s or beyond, although the peak of their popularity was in the late 1920s and 1930sThis socket set is representative of the tools developed in the 1920s, particularly for convenience and portability. It was owned and used by a Wodonga resident.A set of 8 hex sockets set in a metal tray with a lid. The handle slides into a slot in the casing to secure the sockets in place for easy use. The diameter of each socket in engraved on the side. They were made in the USA and are probably a product of INDESTRO, but the brand is indistinct due to age and tarnishing. The set consists of an Ell-handle, eight sockets, and a screwdriver bit. The socket sizes are 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4, 7/8, and 15/16.
