This photograph was taken in February 1984 on the occasion of Cossen's visit to Echuca. P.S Pevensey with the name Philadelphia written across the wheelhouse can be seen steaming upstream under the bridge. This is significant because the P.S Pevensey played the role of the P. S Philadelphia in the movie "All The Rivers Run" which was filmed in Echuca in late 1982 and a sequel was filmed in Echuca early in 1989. Councillor Bob Snow can also be seen on the side deck. This is significant as the Cossen's visit to Echuca may have warranted this sort of attention The photograph also shows the state of the Echuca Moama bridge in the early 1980's.This photograph is significant because it shows the P.S. Pevensey showing the name P.S Philadelphia. The P.S Pevensey was used as the P.S Philadelphia in the TV Series "All The Rivers Run" based on the novel written by Nancy Cato. The TV series was filmed in Echuca in 1982. The TV series was a huge success and still draws tourists to the Port of Echuca. The fact that the P.S Pevensey was showing the Philadelphia name in 1984 is a bit of a mystery, but it has been known that she was dressed up again as the P.S Philadelphia sometimes for special occasions. The Cossen's visit to Echuca might have been such an occasion. It is also a good picture of the pylons under the Echuca Moama bridge and the actual bridge itself. The P.S Pevensey travelling upstream under the Echuca Moama bridge. There is a group of people on the lower side deck. People can also be seen in the wheelhouse and there is a man standing on the back deck as well as one standing next to the wheelhouse. The name Philadelphia can be seen written across the front of the wheelhouse. The river is low and shows the waterline at the Moama Beach. Shield presented in 1939 and awarded to winning house at the annual CPLC Inter-House Athletics competition; Awarded 1939 - 1950. A note in Touchstone December 1939 p.9 reads, 'House rivalry was greatly stimulated on Sports' Day by the gift of the Bevan John Shield. The shield is made of rosewood with silver plates attached, on which is to be inscribed the name of the winning house. The Percy Uebergang family lived at Tooram Park, Allansford from 1912 until 1992. Percy and Myrtle Uebergang's children were twins, Ray and Joyce born in 1926 who lived at Tooram Park until their deaths, Ray in 1986 and Joyce in 1992. Neither Ray nor Joyce married and following the death of her brother Joyce set up the Ray and Joyce Uebergang Foundation which supports the local community. This cream cooler is part of the collection of items given into the care of the Cheese World Museum. The trough has 10 small holes in the base, which allows the cream to filter over the rippled faces. Water ran through the centre of the washboard to cool the cream. This Dunstable Kestrel glider, which came to be known as the "Red Kestrel" on account of its colour scheme, was built from plans by Percy Pratt between 1936 and 1938. It was first flown in 1938. Thereafter, it was flown regularly by Pratt at Geelong, Victoria. At the national rally organized by the Australian Gliding Association in December 1939 – January 1940 at the Belmont Common, Geelong, Victoria, Pratt, in his Kestrel, recorded an exceptional 13 kilometre cross country flight of one hour 43 minutes reaching a height of approximately 5500 metres [Allan Ash, Gliding in Australia, p 86]. This Dunstable Kestrel glider represents a good example of a 1930s era sailplane. It is one of three of the type that currently exist in Australia. Eller's year of office was devoted chiefly to the consolidation of membership and is notable as a period when new ideas regarding the Club's future began to be entertained. James Steward was born St Edmunds Suffolk England in 1830 where he had some brewing experience in his youth. He arrived in Melbourne 1853 and headed to the Bendigo gold fields. He had a claim at Sailors Gully which he worked with varying success until 1856 then purchased a property which became the Albion Brewery. He became one of the largest mining investors in the district and owned a lot of valuable properties in the area. He died on 1 Dec.1898 The excitors of his estate were his sons William A Steward and Henry P Steward. A green bottle with white painted markings STEWARD BROS, a sketch of a person wearing a hat, SAILORS GULLY, THIS BOTTLE IS NOT SOLD. The bottle is eight and a half centimetres diameter at its base and stays at that diameter for 14 centimetres, the next eight centimetres tapers to three and a half centimetres the last eight centimetres to two and a half centimetres with a ring seal.
