Possibly a sample of a product, Melbourne Tram Passport, that was compiled or put together by Go Public in 1995 as a promotion to use Melbourne trams and receive discounts at various venues. No evidence is known of its actual use in practice. On the last page of the Guide Book are the names of David Miller and Frank Pallay and Go Public's Elsternwick PO Address. Demonstrates aspects of the SEC ticketing, governance and monitoring systems. The Pass or ticket could be issued to a SEC staff member to enable travel on the tramways while on business. Style remained very similar to the end of the tramways.SEC Provincial Tramways "Staff Ticket" No. Aa000448. Printed on heavy dark brown paper with black printing. Ticket good for single trip only, of use by employees when travelling on Commission's business. Form No. TYE-2-19. Not known when printed, possibly 1960's maybe earlier. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.Block of about 2 tickets - orange ink on off white paper, denomination 3d, over printed "CITY SECTION" in black ink, numbered A010598 - 10599, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. Originally a block of 200 tickets been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The ticket number is in black ink while the "A" prefix is in orange. On rear in orange ink is a diagonal criss cross or tartan pattern. Petrol rationing was gazetted in May 1941. Australia's lack of fuel storage options and the diversion of tankers bringing fuel here forced the government to begin rationing. Initially it was proposed that consumption should be reduced by 50% but this was modified to 1/3 reduction. People had to apply for a petrol licence and this was then used to obtain ration coupons. Initially coupons were issued on a 6 monthly basis but this was reduced to 2 monthly and allowed people roughly 2000 gallons per year. Coupons allowed for 1, 2, 5, 10, 44 and 100 gallon amounts depending on need. eg. private, commercial, farm use. Rationing was strictly enforced until 1942 but remained in effect until 1950.WWII One Gallon Fuel Ration Ticket: beige card with blue flicks, perforated edges and red print. 4 x One Gallon ration tickets attached. AT the top is the Commonwealth Emblem with "Motor Spirit Ration Ticket" underneath is "Commonwealth of Australia". In the centre on a background wall of circle shapes with print "Department of Supply and Shipping" is printed "Valid only until 31st July 1948 Not Transferable with 1 one Gallon each side". Under that in red block is "This ticket must be endorsed in ink by consumer with name, Licence number and vehicle registration number".government, federal, fuel ration ticket, ww11, g. alice jones.

Demonstrates the method of dispensing tickets by conductors, how the tickets could be arranged, although the arrangement may not exactly represent the 1958-1963 arrangements of a ticket wallet. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented. Has a strong association with Travis Jeffery.Ticket wallet with a set of nine 1950-60's Ballarat tram tickets set up to represent a typical conductor's set of tickets by Travis Jeffrey, though these may not exactly line up with the fares at any one period - 1958 to 1963 following the introduction of concession tickets. Does not have a 3d City Section Ticket. 4000 - Sheet of leather, approx. 2mm thick, stained brown with four pockets formed on each side with another sheet of leather, stitched on all sides to form pockets to hold eight blocks of tickets. Stitching is a light cream or white colour cotton. The 2nd last ticket to be issued by the conductor of the last SEC operated tram (see Reg Item 3264 for the last ticket) in Ballarat. Issued to Les Denmead by Lew Walker and marked on rear as such. Collected by the tramway Superintendent.Single SEC 16c ticket - yellow ink on off white paper, denomination 16c, lettered A521544, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. On rear in yellow ink is a SEC advertisement "ELECTRICITY makes life easier" with the SEC's little boy wrapped in a towel logo. The ticket number is in black ink.
