There are double doors for the main entrance and three single doors - one to the left and two to the right of the main doors. There is a large, ornamental parapet wall on the front of the building with a flag pole. A wide verandah runs the length of the front of the building with a pitched section over the main entrance. The LH side of the building is unpainted and has four windows high on the wall. A red brick building is partially visible on the RH side of the photo. The current St Martins Anglican Church was built in 1963 to replace the first weatherboard church built in 1889. Shire of Charlton photo c. 1989.Colour photo of St Martins Anglican Church. There are large clerestory windows on the front and side of the building. A low pale brick fence capped with darker brick runs beside the footpath. An older weatherboard building with a rusty iron roof is partially visible behind the main church building.

This tape has not been played but from the label it is a recording from 1976, of 30 seconds duration about Legacy. Raymond Schmidt was ordained as a Methodist minister in 1967. He served in Yallourn, Charlton, Ballarat South, and was chaplain of Ballarat and Clarendon College from 1983. Arundell's Shoe Shop and Dalgety's Agency , centre of High St Charlton, north side c. 1987. Corner of High St and Williams Ave (now John Curtin Drive). Right hand building built by William Williams as a saddlery c. 1910. Arundell's Shoe Shop formerly ANA Boot and Shoe Shop established by John Arundell in 1901. The shop was sold by Vic Arundell in 1980 and closed. Next door was John Watson's Stock & Station Agents which later became Dalgety's. The end shop was the saddlery and then Bullock's grocery 1930's to 1970's. In 1957 became Charlton's first self service store. Became Australian Estates late 1970s. The shops were later demolished to make way for the Traveller's Rest. St Martin's Anglican Church was built in 1889. Victoria Hall was built for E. Miles in 1884. Robert Charlton conducted a blacksmith, wheelwright and farrier business on the corner of Evans and Station Street, Sunbury from 1918 to 1940. The copy was taken from a photograph displayed in Mick Walsh's garage which is now on the above site.A black and white photograph of two sheds.
