This wine bottle was donated by Frank and Judy Hogan for use in the exhibition 'A History of Vineyards in Sunbury' held at the George Evans Museum in 1996. The Digger's Rest Vineyard was planted in 1987. With the help of winemaker Peter Dredge in 1994 the Digger's Rest vineyard was awarded two medals at the Victorian Wine Show.Conventional green glass wine bottle with indented base. A gold, purple, white and black printed label on the front with a drawing of a gold digger on a log. a printed label. A printed label is on the back. Has a horse tram leaving the Grenville St. terminus travelling up to Lydiard St. on the north side of Sturt St. Has the buildings on either side of Sturt St. in the view, including Suttons Music store. Titled "Sturt St Ballarat Vic" along the bottom edge. 2437.1 - On the bottom of the postcard is a two line hand written message. On rear of postcard is the address to a Miss C. Haurley of 4 Mortuary Road, South Shields England and two Victorian stamps - half penny (green) and one penny (red) stamps. Has been postmarked "North Melbourne Vic. On rear of postcard is the address to a Mr Frank Tucker, Glencairn, Park Avenue, Harrogate, England. Has two Victorian stamps, half penny (green) and one penny (red) stamps. Printed using the Gestetner duplicating process on foolscap paper in green ink, giving a back ground to the proposal for a heritage or historical tramway in Ballarat, a vision, the benefits of Ballarat, Agenda for the meeting, request for donations and draft resolutions. Graeme Breydon has written notes on pages 2 and 3 of the notes, including additional resolutions, changes to the resolutions and the people who made up the Committee. Two page Summary of talk by Dr Charles Fahey at May meeting of the BHS, titled The Diary of Isaac Edward Dyason. Printed on white paper. An extra copy of page 1 printed on green paper. Dyason kept diaries from New Years Day 1858 until his death in 1915. Most survived with the exception of the years 1873-4 . In Lansell's absence he took over his business affairs and moved into Fortuna. He married and had four children, Emily, Amy, Clarence and Cecil. His youngest child didn't survive.
