Yields information about the considerations of State Cabinet of a proposal by the SEC to close a Bendigo tram line and thoughts to move the tramways from the SEC to MMTB Management.Newspaper clipping from the Ballarat Courier - 9/6/1953, titled "Cabinet stops tram move" reporting that state cabinet had vetoed the SEC's proposal to cease tram operations between Charing Cross and Golden Square from July 6.
