Asbestos Kills, 1990
It was noted in 100 BC that weavers of asbestos became ill. Reports of its bad effects have continued throughout history. In Australia in 1939, employees of James Hardie were reported as having respiratory disorders. The link between asbestos and cancer was confirmed in New York in 1943. Alfred Deakin was one of the founding fathers of Federation and was Prime Minister of Australia over the periods 1903-1904, 1905-1908 and 1909-1910.
