Built for William and Anna-Maria Greenlaw in the early 1880s, and with interiors decorated by the Paterson Bros, Villa Alba remained in private ownership until 1949. From 1950, the house was owned by a number of institutions. By 1984, the Villa Alba Preservation Society had been formed, and three years later, the Mount Royal Hospital granted a 25-year lease to Kew Council. In 2004, the title to Villa Alba was passed by the Victorian Government to The Villa Alba Museum Incorporated. Steam trams operated in Bendigo 1892-1902. They replaced Battery operated trams that could not cope with the hilly terrain of Bendigo. During the 1800s and 1890s, three butter factories were established in Sunbury to support the local dairy industry. Farmers from the surrounding areas brought their cream to the factories to be processed into butter. the butter was sold as Empire Butter. This building is the earliest building remaining on site today. It was built in 1875 and was the second school building replacing the original 1856 building of stone walls with wooden shingles on the roof. That building needed to be replaced after the stone walls collapsed outwards. In August 1912 the school issued a requisition for remodelling of the school concerned with replacement of the existing windows with larger and wider windows to allow additional light into the school rooms and the erection of a wooden partition in the centre of the room. An extension to the building at rear and skylights in the roof were added in 1921. Only two low wooden stairs were originally provided to enter the porch. These were rebuilt by 1928. In 2015 The Royal Australian Mint a series of 50 cent coins to commemorate the 100 years of ANZAC. This is one honouring the role of the nurses who served. It features the stained glass window from the Hall of Memory at the Australian War Memorial that as the image of nurse. It has the Legacy logo on the reverse of the card. The coin has the image of nurse attending to a wounded man with poppies and the word 'Devoted' around the outside. Text says 'Amid the squalor of trench warfare, Australian Army nurses were synonymous with duty and care - even risking their lives for their patients. The Devotion window shows a nurse, with the Red Cross as the symbol of charity.' Holy Trinity Anglican Church is one of the parishes of the Diocese of Melbourne in the Anglican Church of Australia. Services of worship began in this building in March, 1863. The Vicarage was built in 1873, and both carry National Heritage classifications. 'Berrington' in Sackville Street was built in 1888 for Job Smith, builder, who was the first owner of this substantial two-storey house. The property was given an initial N.A. V. of £125 3 and it is possible that Smith was the contractor for his house.By the turn of the century 'Berrington' was identified as having thirteen rooms and an N.A.V. of £13 while the house remained in the hands of the Smith family until the late 1930s. The new owner at that stage was a Mrs Pederson who convened the house into three flats 6 while in 1951 it was further subdivided to become seven units. It remains substantially intact with a cast iron verandah dominating the front and side facades, that has the added distinction of a fine cast iron frieze that at ground floor level has two tiers. Behind the verandah, the facade is asymmetrical. There is a central six panelled door with a fine semicircular fanlight, and segmentally arched windows to the ground floor and on one side of the door there is a polygonal bay window that extends up the two floors.
