Tram 19W ...Form - duplicated - "Progress Certificate - Preston Workshops - Form R18", giving a summary of work undertaken by Preston Workshops. Has space for the Electrical Shop, Air shop, Body Shop, Truck shop, and Paint shop. Form used to advise that works car 19 had a loose tyre 2C, advised by South Melbourne Depot 3-12-1970. Tram 19W. Electrical shop cleaned and checked both controllers with dates of test, air shop - air and sand ok, and truck shop put notes in as well, not sure what they mean, though the axle is 33" by Thomson's & Co and it was fitted with GE 241 motors. 1. - Form - "Supplementary Running Journal", used by Conductors to enable the checking of tickets by Examiners. Was to be filled out prior to the commencement of journey and placed in the clip provided. Has space for date, punch mark, each fare time and Signature and Number. Form 3/134, dated Aug. 1975. Starts with 10c fares, printed on off white paper, with printing in black. Form completed in pencil by L Prosser, No 2675 2. - Printed form on off white paper titled "M&MTB Conductor's Pay in slip", form number 3/135, dated March 1972. Enabled the conductors to record what amount they paid into the revenue office, with space for table number, name, out fit number, amounts, number of swimming tickets and signature of revenue clerk. See Reg Item 1460 for a 1988 and 1769 for a Feb. 1977 examples. 3. - Form - printed on off white paper, form No. 3/203, titled "Conductor's Running Journal", to be used by conductors to record trips, fares sold along with crews names and number. Has fares from 10c to $1. In right hand margin, has Control phone numbers. 4. - Printed form on off white paper titled "Weekly Record of Conductors Ticket Outfit", form 3/137, Aug 1975 - training or sample form as has starting or commencing numbers for ticketing printed onto the sheet. Set up for a six day week, closing numbers for each day, tickets from 10c to $1.00 city, conductors name, depot, person who extended or completed the sheet and checked it. Enabled the revenue clerks to tally the amount that should have been paid in by a conductor against the actual amount. Set of six large posters, featuring the tram map of Melbourne, Inner City, Northern and Southern sections. Items .1 to .3 have an adhesive backing for application onto a tramcar advertising rack. Items .4 to .6 are photocopies of the same with corrections or suggested changes, all c1990. .1 - Inner City - approx. A3, Has the revised The Met symbol with a key along the lower edge detailing route numbers and routes. .2 - Southern Region Tram Map with a map key showing hospitals, points of interest, parks and gardens, some schools and zones. Also shows trams routes through the city, rail lines, stations and major roads with bus routes. .3 - ditto for the Northern Region .4 - Photocopy of the Inner City area with corrections which have been picked up on the final version. .5 - ditto for the Southern Region, two sheets joined together with tape. .6 - ditto for the Northern Region. Photos have the cable tram track, GEC Australia (General Electric), BGE, Coles and Garrard, Myer, Post Office, Berger Paint, London Stores, Foys .1 - Looking east from about Queen St at 4pm, with two Mk 3 buses. - PTC H188 .2 - ditto with a double deck bus east bound at 215pm, PTC H189 .3 - ditto at 3pm, nearer to Elizabeth St with multiple double deck buses in the block between Elizabeth and Swanston St and extensive motor vehicle traffic. This print has been photographed from an image - has a screen. Photos maybe MMTB origin to show traffic levels in the streets. Photographed prior to the removal of double deck buses in Bourke St by January 1954.
