Included in the Dorey/Woolrich collection.Black and white photograph of young Harry Booth taken in a formal studio setting. Harry Booth was the son of Jack Booth, who owned Lots 37 and 38 in the Village Settlement and had access to creek water for successful berry crops. Harry was a local market agent and travelled to Victoria Market carrying produce from local settlers.Harry carried a variety of produce by horse and cart, apparently a twenty-four hour round trip, until the business was sold in the early 1920's. Demonstrates the type and style of lamp used in tramways or street cars, made by a company who specialised in the manufacture of electrical products.Electric Lamp or light bulb - stored in a cardboard box with shredded paper. Lamp manufactured by the Edison Company of the USA, for "Street Railway" use. Consists of a glass bulb with a wire vertical filament with a screwed base. Marks on top of the lamp have faded. Filament appears to be working order. Information on the top of the lamp and the box provided by the donor. Various partiesReference, Research, InformationKHS OrderBlythswood was a former mansion in Kew, built in the 1850s and later becoming the home of the newspaper magnate, David Syme. The file contains detailed histories and a large number of annotated photocopied photographs of the house and garden. Most of the items were compiled and donated by Veronica Coudou, a descendant of the Syme family. The main 10-page [copyrighted] manuscript by Coudou covers the period 1863-1908 and describes the buildings, gardens and the owners. These items are undated. Negative (120) of a cable grip car outside the Palace Theatre 790 Nicholson St Fitzroy. Tram has a side advertisement for the New Palais Royale, at the Exhibition buildings for dancing every evening.
