Badge, 1918
The Rising Sun badge also known as the General Service badge or the Australian Army badge is the official insignia of the Australian Army. Worn on the brim of a slouch hat or the front of a peaked cap (selected appointments only). The badge is readily identified with the spirit of ANZAC, the legend of the Australian Soldier (or digger) and the esprit de corps of the Army itself, due to the association with the landing at Gallipoli in 1915. Today, new recruits receive the iconic badge with their initial issue of equipment which happens within their first three days of enlistment.Rising Sun Metal badge Australian Commonwealth Military Forces 1914 - 1918 War. -

Photograph, Comradeship event - Dugout, 1991
A photo of Legatee Larkin and a flag with a kangaroo and the words 'Hop In, You're Welcome'. The banner appears to have been signed by people. It is possibly from a military deployment though the details are not known. Appears to be a 'Dugout Night' where Legatees gather for a comradeship event close to Anzac Day in April. The date is approximately 1991 as it was stored with a lot of items from 1990 and 1991. Legatee Larkin is wearing a serviceman's cap and there was a Legatee event at some stage with a display of military hats at Legacy house and could be of the same time.A record of an event at Legacy House with war memorabilia.Colour photo of Legatee Larkin and a kangaroo banner.legatee event, legatee, dugout -

The Little Bank Building at the corner of Anzac Avenue, formerly a Commercial Bank of Australia branch, was moved to Hurstbridge around 1917. It was one of a few portable branch buildings, towed by horse or bullock team to a site as required. The branch operated until the early 1980s. In 1985 it was moved about 42 metres south to the Allwood House grounds to become part of the Hurstbridge Neighbourhood House. Covered under Heritage Overlay, Nillumbik Planning Scheme. The sign above the station entrance is advertising the "Australian War Museum" at the Exhibition Buildings. The reference dates its opening as ANZAC day 1922 and moving to Sydney in 1925. The photo was probably taken soon after it opened as the sign above the station entrance was regularly changed. Note the Safety Zone sign on the eastern side of the intersection for eastbound trams. Programs - Mt Beauty Music Festival 2002-2016
Glenn Spencer kept every MBMF Programme. The third Music 'Muster' was held in 2002. The Music Muster Programs are from 2002 to 2006. It was called The Music Festival from 2003 to 2016. It consisted of invited artists to perform over the April Anzac Day long weekend. There were several venues each offering entertainment from 9 am to midnight with slight variations over the years. The Music Festival went into recession after 2016 due to the inability to form a committee especially after the heavy rain and lack of venues that occurred in 2016.The Music Festivals were held annually in Mt Beauty and Tawonga from 2000. It involved a committee, sponsors, volunteers, artists and audience. It benefitted the community with an influx of visitors who helped the economy and also 'spread the word' thus making each Music Festival better than the last. Organising the event became more difficult and like many other music festivals in Victoria, the event went into recession. Booklets - Each A5 booklet has a title, date, price and different coloured cover. Each has 40 black and white pages and includes the names of the artists and a blurb on each of them. In the centre there is a program including venues, artists and times for their performance on each of the three days that the festival runs.mt beauty music festival, entertainment, mt beauty music muster -
