Thirty two page landscape booklet on semi gloss white paper with off white cover and single supplementary white sheet tipped onto the inside of the front cover titled "See Melbourne's Beautiful Beaches and Garden Suburbs from a Special Bus". Saddle stapled, printed letterpress. Text printed in black and green ink. Cover green ink only. The book advertising MMTB's Special tourist bus, giving overall tour details on page 1, including fares, time of departures and reservations. Each tour has a map showing the route, details of the tour route with notes and photographs. Page 14 shows a maximum traction tram on the reserved track in Dandenong road and page 30, W2 488 outbound in Victoria Parade. Page 32 has an advertisement for the Round Trip by Tram 1/-. Front cover has details of the departure times and fares and a photo of the Tourist Bus. This special edition was issued as a souvenir of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11. The coronation of Queen Elizabeth II as monarch of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Union of South Africa, Pakistan, and Ceylon took place on 2 June 1953. Elizabeth ascended the throne at the age of 25, upon the death of her father, King George VI, on 6 February 1952. The Evening News was an evening newspaper published in London from 1881 to 1980 and was very popular. The paper was founded by Coleridge Kennard and Harry Marks with the first issue appearing on July 26, 1881. On the 2nd June 1953, the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II took place and the commonwealth countries, including Australia joined in the celebration. The Survey Operation Report deals with the cartographic completion of four 1:50,000 topographical line maps and one Special 1:50,000 map covering the Puckapunyal Military Training Area. The report covers in detail the digital stereo plotting, field completion (checking) and the cartographic completion including printing. The four 1:50.000 maps are 7823-1 PYALONG, 7824-2 COSTERFIELD, 7923-4 TALLAROOK and 7924-3 NAGAMBIE. Annex A lists personnel and dates involved and is attached as 6385.2. Functional object - Outrigger Barge - Murray River, D26
The D26 is an authentic outrigger logging barge - one of four that were towed by P.S. Adelaide for 80 years of its working life. In 1987 Council purchased the barge from Deakin Shire in South Australia for $15,000. However, its restoration was put on hold until the crew had completed work on the P.S. Enterprise, eventually beginning in 1988 using local red gum. The barge was relaunched at Echuca East on Australia Day, 1990. The D26 remains at the Port of Echuca and on special occasions can be seen being towed by the P.S. Adelaide for demonstrations. -

Plaque Tasmanian Police Pipe Band, Tasmanian Police Pipe Band
he Band was raised in 1969 and wears the Fletcher of Dunans tartan in honour of the Police Commissioner at that time, Mr Phil Fletcher. It celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2009 with a Grand Gaelic Ball attended by more than 300 people. Membership of the Band is voluntary and currently includes three serving police officers (including Drum Major Constable Dean Walker) and one Special Constable. He enlisted in the AIF aged 18 years 5 months under a special condition from his parents that he not embark for overseas until he turned 19 years. Embarked for England 28.2.18, hospital 18.6.18 with Bronchitis, hospital 1.8.18 with Influenza, embarked for France 22.8.18, KIA by high explosive shell on the advance towards Bellicourt on 20.9.18.
