The Public Transport Union was formed in 1993 from the various Australian Public Transport Unions, see reference. It was renamed as the Rail Transport and Bus Union in 1998 to reflect the impact of privatisation. See 4201 and 7089 for the earlier badge of the same layout. Demonstrates a badge issued to members of the RTBUBadge - Rail Transport and Bus Union. The badge is made on a brass backing with the words "Rail Transport and Bus Union" on the outer edge of the badge with a black enamel background. In centre of badge are images of the modes of transport the union covers - trams, rail, and buses on a yellow background within a map of Australia. Black and white print of MMTB Bus No. 79. This was the second tourist bus, imported by MMTB Chairman Bell from Canada in 1939. It was built by the Canadian Car Co. Because of WW2, it was put into normal passenger service in July 1940 and had a mundane existence from that time onwards. It was sold to Melbourne Brighton Bus Lines however they never used it. Bus has the destination of Nicholson St. Appears is poor condition. Has other Mark III buses in the background. All have PTC Copyright Stamp on rear. The two Scholar's Concession tickets for first and second terms of 1976 allowed the holder to travel from Wattle Park to Latrobe university via a nominated route with the conditions of travel on the rear. Cost was $34 for each ticket. Ticket Nos. 06423 and 07189. Both issued at Camberwell Depot. The Employees Pass was issued to those who did not have a pass issued to them personally, such as travel to and from a training facility. The person to who this was issued to was a MMTB employee.
