Set of 9 pamphlets about the Neighbourhood ticket system - basically the same with changes for each neighbourhood. .1 - Eight page, A4, colour printed on gloss paper, centre stapled, titled "Announcing the arrival of Melbourne's new Metropolitan Transit system - Ringwood Neighbourhood" Explains the revised ticketing system, known as Neighbourhoods, notes the formation of The Met, uses a cartoon characterisation of vehicles, explains how the system works, boundaries, various options, travel cards, concessions and introductory offers. Set of 17 Souvenir tickets for each of the painted trams, issued at the time of the launch - first day ticket. Each ticket corresponds to the painted tram number. A project of the Victorian Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Arts. Printed on gloss card except for ticket No. 1, 9. Tickets 1 to 8 have plain backs. Each ticket has the tram number in a sketch of the front of a tram. These are for the second series of Transporting Art trams. Tickets 9 to 14 - has a welcome aboard message and notes re the sponsorship of the project. Tickets 15 to 17 - welcome message and that this tram is one of six to be supported by Vic Health Foundation. Has their logo on the rear. Research Report or Overseas Tour report, Half bound in green and black Rexene with mottled end papers, 222 pages (Gestetner printed single sided), typed report - titled "Report of H.H. Bell Chairman of the Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board on his overseas trip March - October 1938". Dated 31/1/1939. He was accompanied by Mr. R. A. Spencer the Board Secretary. Reg Item 3875 indicates that their wives travelled as well with them. Has an index, notes on his visits to five cities on his voyage to England, visits to 10 UK cities, Berlin, Paris and 12 USA and Canadian cities. Includes notes on buses, gas-producer engines, PCC trams, closure of tramways, technical notes, trolley buses, conversion of Bourke St cable tram routes, overhead, motors, engines and many other topics. Note pages scanned in particular have reference to Bourke St conversion and driving habits in the UK compared to Melbourne (road hogs). Set of three black and white photographs of the Melbourne Zoo Horse tram. .1 - view of tram with horses, a conductor, and a well dressed family in front of the tram. Photo taken at the Sydney road terminus. Has the note under the photo "Zoo Horse Tram Mr Richardson of W. Brunswick, driver." .2 - Side of view of the horse tram - No. 42 with "Royal Park" on the side. .3 - View of the zoo terminus, from the rear of the tram with "Zoological Gardens" on the rear dash panel of the tram. The conductor appears to be applying the hand brake. Note the signage on the right side of the photo. Fact Sheet 01 - giving the Myki milestones from 2006 to 2007. Newsletter issue 1 - dated September 2006 - printed to provide information to staff about the discovery centre. Has a list of acronyms. Sheet providing dates for the Myki discovery centre to each depot.
