The work records and interprets essential moments in the life of the lagoon, the plants, birds, insects, water-creatures and humans who have lived and continue to live around its shores. A suite of seven mixed media artworks each piece framed. The perspective is taken from the ocean looking down across the Port and into the town of Portland. Within the foreground is the ocean beyond the Main Breakwater, the Main Breakwater and the Port. Within the Port nine large ships are docked and another is being brought into the Port by two tugboats. The background features a distant view of the town of Portland and the landscape beyond the township.
