In 1912 W. H. Middleton was Acting President of the Ballarat School of Mines. Part of the report includes are: 'The Trade Classes in Plumbing, Manual Training, Carpentry, Telegraphy, Blacksmithing and Fitting and Turning are all being carried out with success'. Mitcham Football Club celebrates 100 years. Edgar Walker presided over the club in its early days. In 1893 Mitcham Club combined with Surrey Hills and Box Hill to play as Nunawading.
