Artist Lindsay Edward and wife Jan built a house designed by Alistair Knox at 151 Old Eltham Road, Lower Plenty. The City of Warrnambool Rowing Club (CoWRC) received a grant from the Warrnambool City Council Community Development Fund for the project: to hold a public event to install a plaque – dedicated to members and ex members who enlisted in WW1. The original honor roll had been lost to history. The date chosen was August 7 as this was 100 years since the death of a particular member, Major Thomas (Tom) Redford. Process: the Club wrote a book about its 140 year history and learnt of the honor roll. Every effort to find it was exhausted. The Club applied for funds to produce a replacement plaque and have a public event to unveil it. Outcome: There is now a permanent plaque in the rowing ‘prescient’ on the Hopkins River. one meter high stone with brass plaque‘Lest we Forget’ Honour Roll of Warrnambool Rowing Club Members and ex-Members who enlisted for the First World War. Photocopy of the "General Electric Company Type ML Governor for Motor-Driven Air Compressors" manual or pamphlet, dated Jan. 1914, Bulletin No. 44590. Details the operation of the ML type air compressor governor which is fitted to a number of the BTM tramcars. Three pages, with number T26M in the top left hand corner. Eight page printed document or report titled "A Further Lease of Life " written for BTM magazine Fares Please!, in September 2003. The document is a transcript of a memo prepared by the Ballarat Tramways Branch Superintendent dated 7 May 1948. Written by A. V. Mawby. The document examines the running condition of the Ballarat Tramway system, including the rolling stock, buildings, permanent way, overhead equipment, passenger numbers. Gives details of the A class trams on the left hand side and notes that tram 246 was the first with the Yarra livery (1/3/2000) and that it was blue and green to represent the blue of Port Phillip Bay and the green of Melbourne's many parks. Documents and Photograph donated by the Woodhead family. Dorothy Edhouse was the only child of James & Frances Hill, who were Sylvia Woodhead's grandparents. "James Hill (Jimmy) came to Phillip Island in 1920 and purchased the Hotel, known as Woods Family Hotel. (Later, the Phillip Island Hotel in Walpole Street, now demolished). A milestone occurred whilst in his capable hands, when he installed an electric light plant, (32 volt), the first on the Island. He also made hundreds of cement bricks, when he built his own home. Later he purchased a building in Thompson Avenue, where he established a Billiard Saloon, with a small shop attached. He died in 1937, aged 68. His only child Dorothy Edhouse, is now 95 and has made arrangements to have her ashes added to her fathers' grave." This was added to the photograph of James Hill and Frances Edith Hill - not sure what date it was compiled by Richard Woodhead. Frances died in 1960. "The water storage tank (the ‘golf ball’ tower) was located in Cassells Road, and for many years it played an important role in supplying the Research and Eltham communities with drinking water. However, due to prior upgrades of water supply infrastructure in the area, these communities are receiving their water supply in a more reliable way. The storage tank was no longer operating and as it no longer served a purpose, the time had come for it to be removed. Decommissioning works occurred between November 2016 and January 2017, and the tower was removed in March 2017."
