The Collins history of publishing dictionaries began in 1824 in Glasgow by William Collins who had a background as a teacher and an interest in material related to the Temperence Movement. The company continues to publish dictionaries to this day, including digital versions and foreign language editions. Today the company is known as Harper Collins. The Bendigo Institute of Technology was an educational facility that existed between 1967 to 1976. It had evolved from the School of Mines and Industries. The sup't of loco Supplies has drawn attention to the enormous increase in the number of tools issued for Enginemen's kits, and below is set out the issues for 6 months under the old system and the issues for the 6 months under the new system. The percentage increase in hand hammers, hand lamps and feeders is particularly large. The above state of affairs is giving much concern and unless an improvement results it is probable that the whole system may be abandoned and the old method reverted to.
