House provided by the community for Miss Hammarstrom and family after Mr Hammerstrom, a fisherman, was lost at sea in 1926. The Age newspaper collected 400 pounds in an appeal to support the family. Built in 1924 by Vic Fish to a typical Dahlsen home plan. House let in 1939, but small bungalow retained for own use. Built soon after WW11 by Fred Moore for Reg and Hazel Bulmer, post war contemporary style, named 'Camelot'. Clovelly, was the home of Alfred Howitt from 1901, then became the property of his daughter Annie Whittakers of Tubbut and Traralgon, then grand-daughter Maude Anderson McMillan. Originally named Long Acres then Green Acres when it was built in 1923/24 for Mr Eric Staughton by his father. Later named Livingstone House in 1950 when purchased by Hallett Sisters. In 1996c became temporary office for East Gippsland Shire. This building was the home of the Carpenter family for about 80 years, then converted to a restaurant/wine bar known as 'Skippers'. Relocated as a private residence in 2003 and the rest of the site cleared to make way for the Lakes Entertainment Centre. This is the 'before' paired photograph used in Lakes Entrance Historical Society's '1858-2008 Sesquicentenary (150 year) exhibition'. Building was originally part of Carstairs Boarding House at New Works. Relocated to rear of Carstairs Heyfield House. Occupied by Orme Crawford, garage proprietor/motor mechanic in 1930s. Tommy Kent, garage proprietor, 1950s to 1960s. (Local knowledge). Date made May 1991|Old building demolished c2008. Ostler family arrived at Cunninghame (Lakes Entrance) by boat, walked to the site with their belongings, cleared the land, built a dwelling, farmed dairy herd, grew maize, had beehives.| Also one colour photograph of new dwelling constructed next to the old dwelling taken 29th September 2007|Also two other colour photographs old dwelling. House typical of four roomed fisherman's cottage of early 20th Century , was home of Harry Jemmeson, fisherman, wife Lulu and family. Daughter Edith was music teacher and amateur photographer. Built 1900c, cottage was made available for widow and children of Dougal Egan, lost when fishing boat Orme disappeared in 1909. After Mrs Egan married George South, cottage became known as the South House. Later resident Mrs Edith Rawlinson.
