Eight books donated to ballarat College from old collegian Laura McRae. Ballarat College enrolled female students 1877 - 1892. The school holds no further record of Laura McRae's enrolment. It may be relevant that a Peter and Alexander McRae, brothers from Carngham Station, attended the school in 1880s. Significantly this donation occurred prior to the establishment of the Weatherly Library in 1936.
