Historical information

The entire passbook is written in Swedish. It was used between the 31st of December 1945 and the 18th of April, 1946 and seems to record Allan Quinn's wages. Allan visited Sweden many times, and eventually learnt the language.

Significance

This passbook belonged to Allan Charles Quinn and is part of a collection of letters and photograph depicting aspects of life at sea for a young man in the era immediately following World War II.

Physical description

A small book with thin pale blue covers. There are six pages in the book, held together with two staples in the spine.
