Historical information

The pram appears to have been developed during the 18th century. Queen Victoria is known to have bought three prams (she had 10 children). From then, it was a natural progression to create a smaller version as a leisure item, particularly for little girls.

Significance

The introduction of dolls prams into the leisure item area, mirrors the development of toys generally.
