Photograph, Narrabeen ferry with cargo of elephants

Historical information

The elephants pictured here were from Perry Brothers Circus Zoo, and came over on the ferry, Narrabeen, somewhere between 1928 and 1932. Before the Phillip Island San Remo bridge was built, there was only one way to get the circus to town, and that was on the ferry. Part of a collection of 'Rose & Valentine' series of Post Cards. Copied by John Jansson 1984
