Eltham Hall was packed for the pageant "Three Queens with Crowns of Gold" presented by the Diamond Valley Group of the Country Women's Association of Victoria as its Coronation gesture. This was written and produced by Mrs D. Moody, a former Geelong group president now living at Eltham who rehearsed all branches in the group individually before co-ordinating them into the spectacular presentation, in which a choir also participated. Nearly 150 members from Greensborough, Eltham, Templestowe, Kangaroo Ground, Hurstbridge and Panton Hill branches land Eltham Younger Set took part in scenes, songs and dances relevant to the Queens of history from Boadicea to the present day and all were on stage for the finale, in which the Dominions paid homage to Britannia enthroned.
