Photograph, Bulla Bridge, 12 July 1944

Historical information

The photograph was taken looking across the Deep Creek valley with the three-arched stone bridge spanning the Deep Creek at Bulla. The bridge was constructed in 1869. 'Tulip' Wright established his Bridge Inn Hotel on the river flat seen on the LHS of the photograph in 1843.

Significance

The construction of the Bulla Bridge did away with the ford crossing that was used across Deep Creek.
