The photograph taken on the Saturday 12 November 1932 was published in November 1932 in a newspaper. (clipping in the MTSV Collection) with the following capture:
"Show Boat Committee: Members of the Victorian Chamber of Manufactures yesterday inspected the Nieuw Zeeland, the sister ship of the Nieuw Holland, which is the proposed Show Boat for the advertisement and exhibition of Australian products in the East.
Watching flour being loaded for the East."
Significance
The ship was sent to Java with Australian products.
