Historical information
Born in Ireland 1864, Daniel Mannix entered into the Catholic Church and in 1917, he became the Archbishop of Melbourne. Dedicated to the community and its issues, he was known to have spoken against conscription. In 1963, at the senior age of 99, Daniel Mannix passed and was buried in St Patrick's Cathedral, Melbourne.
