Historical information

Albert Geal, a builder found good quality clay at Tunstall. In 1903 Geal Brothers of Nunawading began making agricultural pipes for orchardists, then moved on to make bricks and tiles. The Geals pottery was on 11 acres at the corner of Springvale Road and Miton Street. It was sold in 1973
