Historical information

The Whittlesea soldiers memorial arch was erected by the branches of the Returned Soldier's League and the Father's Association. The arch stands at the entrance to the Whittlesea Park and was unveiled in 1927 by His Excellency the Governor Lord Somers. It bears the names of 35 soldiers who died in the Great War.
