A satirical illustrated tale of artist Hephzibah Brown who is persuaded by Cedric the Imp of Perversity to follow him to the recently independent Ghana to compose a tourist book he will write and she illustrate. She follows him but changes it to a novel about two tourists, one pragmatic and one an idealistic, a woman, to examine "real life'' being a form of transience.
