This 1961 set of the Encyclopaedia Britannica was issued to Robin Boyd in acknowledgement of his contribution, the entry on 'Residential Architecture'. It consists of seven pages of text and four black and white pages of plates that cover the history of residential architecture. There are subsections on many time periods: Primitive, Egyptian, Western Asiatic, Greek, Roman, Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical, Colonial, Victorian, 20th Century and Asiatic.
