The posters are photographs of monuments in and around Melbourne. All have a side with the name Palestine.
These monuments commemorate the presence of Australian soldiers in Palestine during World War I and their role in the 1917 British capture of Bir Sab'a (Beersheba).

Additional plaques have been added to commemorate those who have died in service or been killed in action in various conflicts since the end of World War One; Korea,Malaya, Sabah Sarawak, Malay Peninsula and Vietnam. .9 Terang War Memorial: Dedicated Sunday 15 April 1923. Plaques have been added to commemorate later conflicts - World War Two, Korea, Vietnam.
