Both articles give valuable brief histories of Lake Wendouree and Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

Significance

These 2 articles explain how Lake Wendouree and the Ballarat Botanical Gardens came to be highly regarded for leisure time activities, for the study of flora and fauna and the parks and gardens.

Physical description

The 1st article, Yuille's Swamp is 31/2 pages of print with Peter Butters name added on p.4. The 2nd article, Our Botanical Gardens, is also 31/2 pages of print with Peter Butters name added on p.4.

Inscriptions & markings

With the 1st article "Roy and then Peter Butters Talk, Guiding Group, 24/9/97" is written in blue biro, top righthand corner. Nothing is written in longhand on the 2nd article.
