Allan Carter, Richard Carter's Father was a prominent business man and resident of Ringwood . The article describes how he was intrumental in obtaining the land for the school as one of the Formative Committee members. Also a member of the school's first Council and then the Chairman of the Building Fund. Richard Carter followed in his Father's footsteps in the Real Estate business. He was also the President of the Ringwood Historical Society for many years.

Two and a half page A4 bifold tribute from companions and members of the Melbourne Walking Club with a photograph of Albert on front in a bush setting and loose page insert of order of Service. During Albert's time in the Walking Club he blazed the trail of many cross country walks around Healesville, Mount Donna Buang, Mount Juliet, Mount Buller and the Jamieson River. He was cared for in Donwood Nursing home, Croydon, at the end of his life.

The late Mrs. Pollard was the wife of Frank Pollard of the Pollard Family who were early orchardists in Ringwood.

Mr. Pullin who lived in Mulum Road was the husband of Ellie Pullin President of the Ringwood Historical Research Group. He also was a valued member of the group.

Rose Paris and her husband had an orchard at the corner of Wonga and Oban Roads. She left an estate valued at over 11 and a half thousand pounds in June 1923.

Kevin Pratt was one of Ringwood's best known residents when he died at the age of 77 in 1987. An amputee from the age of three he overcame his own physical handicaps and went on to encourage and help the youth of the district. He was President of the Ringwood Football Club for 25 years. His memory is perpetuated by a pavillion in Mullum Reserve which bears his name. Mr Pratt's Funeral service in Our Ladies Church in Bedford Road was well attended. Newspaper cutting of the death of Dr Ian Thomas.

Dr Thomas established the Wantirna Road Medical Clinic until his retirement in 1985. He saw active service during WWII in the Army Medical Corps in New Guinea and was a member of Yarra Valley Legacy for 20 years. He is survived by his wife Betty, three daughters and one son.

Winifred Elva, beloved second daughter of H.O. and A. Thomas of Alexander Road Ringwood, and much loved sister of Grace,Rhys (deceased), Horace, Cornish, Rita, Elma and Gwen (Mrs Ron Westmore). Miss Thomas was well known in the district and for some years in business in Main Street, Ringwood. She was associated with church work including superintendent of the kindergarten at the Methodist Sunday school and the Junior Christian Endeavor.

Mr Thomas Thomas aged 66 - haemorrhage following coughing fit 22/3/1917, and Master Stan Milne aged 10, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Milne and grandchild of Mr. and Mrs. J. Hann of Ringwood - struck by merry-go-round part 25/3/1917.

Mr Thomas leaves a wife and grown family. Corporal E. Thomas was a son of the deceased and was one of the heroes of war invited to a place of honor on Show Day. In his absence, Sergt. S. Chivers made feeling reference to the death of Mr. Thomas.

Beloved hustand of Gertrude, dearly loved father of Jack, Clifford (deceased), Lloyd and Res, loved father-in-law of Joy. Aged 62 years. Outside his home and his work, his two great interests in life were his Lodge and bowls. He was one of the foundation members of the Ringwood Masonic Lodge, consecrated in 1925. He was Worshipful Master in 1929 and was appointed secretary in 1934. He took all the degrees in Masonry and was a member of the Grand Lodge. In the wporting world he took a keen interest in bowls and was a foundation member of the Ringwood Bowling Club. He was president of the Club in 1942, 43, 44 and 45.

The late Mr Tann had reached the ripe old age of 79 years. He was an enthusiastic bowler and adherent of the Glendsary Methodist Church. A large circle of friends will join in sympathy with Mrs Tann senr., and her two sons, Messrs A.J. and J.C. Tann in their sorrow.

Roy Wilkins, a prominent builder and contractor, was well known and respected throughout the district. He was keenly interested in sport and public affairs. First secretary and life member of Ringwood District Cricket Association. Foundation Bowls Club member and president. Foundation member of Borough of Ringwood when Council formed in 1924.

A successful orchardist, he also took a keen interest in all local affairs. He was a member of the Heathmont Progress League, President of the Recreation Reserve Committee, a member of the Ringwood Bowling Club, and a member of the Dads' branch. The late John Wilson was one of the few remaining old pioneers of Ringwood ... passed away at his residence, "The Mines", Ringwood East (Wilson Street) at the age of 80 years. He was, in the early years, associated with the antimony mine ... highly respected and esteemed throughout the district.

The residents of Ringwood and district were shocked when the news came through of the tragic and sudden death of Fireman Jack Wilkins of Warrandyte Road Ringwood, while working on a fire at the Cooper Case Company's mill in White Horse road, Ringwood, during the early hours of Sunday morning. He was found by his comrades in a state of collapse after winding up the hose, and died almost immediately ... Fireman Wilkins joined up with the Ringwood Fire Brigade at its inception in March, 1926, as part time fireman, and has been with the brigade ever since ... A carpenter and builder by trade, he has built many homes in the Ringwood district. One of his hobbies was his garden. He was an expert grower of dahlias, and exhibited successfully in many shows. He was a member of the M.U.I.O.O.F., and was keenly interested in sport. He played cricket right up to last year with the Ringwood Cricket Club, and captained the C Grade team for years ... He was also keenly interested in football, and for a number of years officiated as goal umpire in the Ringwood District Football League. He is survived by a wife and six children. Tributes include Jay (Jack), dearly loved husband of Alice Marion, loving father of Walter (A.I.F.), Allan, Winnie, Ronald (deceased), Margaret, William and Edward ... Local newspaper clipping - 15/3/1945 - Passing of Old Pioneer.

Born in Gloucestershire, England ... Settled in Ringwood and was employed at the old Federal Brickyards. It was here that he lost his arm, getting his hand caught in machinery. This handicap did not greatly interfere with his working capacity, and for years he was employed as carter at Bamford's timber yards. He married and settled down at Mt Dandenong Road, Ringwood East and acquired various properties. Interred Box Hill Cemetery on Friday, 9th March.

Mr Walker was governing director of the Australian Tesselated Tile Co. Pty. Ltd., Mitcham ... a company he founded 49 years ago. He was a member of the Nunawading Shire Council for 25 years, and was several times president. He took a keen interest in local affairs and was a trustee of the Mitcham Methodist Church and Memorial Hall. His funeral took place at Box Hill cemetery (December 1936).
