Menzies Creek primary School opened on 15th April 1882. The front entrance by the square water tank was used by the teacher to gain access to the residence, and the children entered the classroom by the side entrance. The building was destroyed in November 1935 in a fire caused by a workman's blowtorch.

Colour photograph of a fundraising wine bottle label promoting the centenary of the Menzies Creek State School. Label is off-white with red printing. 'GORDO RIESLING/An unusual blend/ of Gordo and Riesling grapes specially/ prepared, giving a Moselle style taste/with a pleasant Dry Riesling finish, and ready/to be enjoyed now./The grapes were grown and vintaged at/ Angove's Renmark vineyards.' The label features the (then) school logo, designed to mark the school's centenary, with artwork by Tanya Mayer and Konrad Matta.

An article from the Berwick and Oakleigh Advocate dated 4th May 1916, reporting an afternoon gathering at the Menzies Creek State School held on 17th April 1916. Narre Warren East State School was also invited to join the afternoon.
