On the day the award was given Sir George Lansell acted on behalf of the President of the Benevolent Home Jtn Smalley. Another Life Govenorship was also give to Mr D.T. Langlands at the same time for the same work with the RSL.

Physical description

Framed certificate, frame is timber gold colour, certificate backing is maroon, certificate is light fawn colour with ornate edging, at the top “Bendigo Benevolent Home - Life Govenor” followed by details of the award, all print in blue & black, signed and dated, a red seal is in the bottom RH corner.
