Summary

Between 1915 - 1917 Dr Ramsay Mailer and members of his family ran the 30 bed Hethersett Voluntary Military Hospital in Burwood for5 returned shell shocked and fatigued soldiers at his own expense. This property became part of the Presbyterian Ladies College in1939.
