The photographs are from his personal album, and are mainly official photographs widely available among the services. The photographs are from Australian , British and American sources.
This set coincide the Hobart's service in the Mediterranean theatre in 1941. The Hobart was not present at such actions as the Malta convoys involving the Illustrious, or the sinking of the Barham, but these photographs were part of his album.
Whilst not taken personally, they do capture some of the events he and his Hobart crewmates would have experienced and witnessed.
