Model - Anatomical head model, PHYWE, c. 1930

Physical description

The 1:1 model of the head is in cross-section to show the skull, brain and spinal cord, nasal and pharyngeal cavity, larynx, tongue, oesophagus, and trachea. It is hand-painted and numbered with labels to identify different anatomical components. It is set onto a backing board of black pine.

Relief on metal plaque affixed to base of backing board. "GIFT OF I. CUMING, ESQ. FRACS, 1953."
Sticker on bottom left side of backing board. "PHYWE"
