Historical information

The single arched stone bridge spans the Moonee Ponds Creek in the former Old Broadmeadows Township, now Westmeadows. The historic bridge is in Fawkner Street, and has a heritage classification. The Moonee Ponds Creek flows from the upper reaches of Greenvale and flows into the Yarra at Docklands.

Significance

The stone bridge over the Moonee Ponds Creek was erected in 1869 and replaced a less substantial one.

Physical description

A black and white print of a non-digital photograph of a stone single-span bridge spanning a creek. White post-and-rail fence has been constructed ion either side of the bridge. Pine trees are growing on then creek banks.
