Historical information
On the 17th December 1985, Sunbury and surrounding areas experienced very high rainfall, causing surrounding waterways to fill quickly. Water flooded over many of the roads in low lying areas. The Intersection at Ligar Street and Riddell Road, one of the lowest points oil Sunbury, flooded when water from nearby Blind Creek overflowed across the road.
