Circa late 1950s to early 1960s. Used in the antenatal clinic of St George's Hospital, Kew, Victoria.

Physical description

Doll resembling a baby, used for teaching purposes. Doll has a chamois leather body, stuffed with cotton wool, and a head made of a soft, pliable plastic. The letter 'F' is handwritten just below the neck on the front of the torso. The head of the doll has indents for eyes and a mouth, and protruding nose and ears. There are triangular indents at the top and back of the head.
