Historical information

This photograph captures Tom Leggett, a member of the notable local Leggett family, standing on the baker's cart. Tom Leggett was born in 1918 in Richmond, moved to Clematis young enough to attend school there, and served in the military from 1940 until the end of the Second World War; based on his apparent age in this photograph, it was likely taken after his return from war - in the late 1940s or early 1950s.
