Proposed development of Butterfield Park. Council plan sent to Emerald Association 26 September 1978 to be considered by Association (Letter accompaning). Proposes recreation reserve, sports oval etc. The proposal never eventuated. Butterfield Park, a passive reserve, was the site of original gold rush. Site of first Watson home and adjoining tent sites - 1860.
