Historical information

Ferntree Gully Shire was separated from Berwick Shire of which it had been part since 1889. Ferntree Gully Shire was divided to form Knox Shire and Sherbrooke Shire in 1963. Map shows area and boundaries of Ferntree Gully Shire 1889-1963. Proposed Shires of Sherbrooke and Knox are noted in red ink.
