Significance

Elephant Rock is an example of the many granite outcrops in the area.

it is a large rock made up of 2 parts, resembling an elephant. It is positioned on a main thoroughfare between Emerald and Beaconsfield and is regularly painted by locals, generally for special occasions.

Physical description

Mulilayered and multicoloured section chipped off Elephant Rock. The colours vary from pink to pale blue to yellow then green. It was part of a granite outcrop known as Elephant Rock on the Emerald Beaconsfield Rd, that is regularly repainted by locals, with slogans, grafitti and art work
