Significance

A planning application for a 4-storey commercial and medical complex in the Main Street was opposed by a group of residents. They lodged an objection to VCAT which was ultimately successful. Subsequently a new Emerald Police Station was built on the site. These documents give an insight into how development in Emerald was envisioned by this group of residents at that time.
