This old Rabone sliding square tool came from a small mixed farm in Emerald bought by Charles Alexander in 1920.
Significance
This tool is emblematic of a time when settlers had to be able to perform a range of tasks including basic carpentry.
Physical description
This John Rabone 1902 combination square is marked out in inches on both sides of the rule. The measurements are further broken down into micro increments of 1/8 inch and 1/16 inch.
This square had a 12-inch rule and a level bubble built into the stock.
This model was manufactured from 1958-1970.
